Wilderness Medicine 101 In-Person

Join us for an adventure into the world of Wilderness Medicine 101 with Little Medical School Mid-South! On Saturday, June 8th, from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m., explore essential wilderness survival skills at stations around the library. Learn how to handle snake bites, bug bites, broken bones, hypothermia, and poison ivy/oak exposure with basic first aid techniques. Discover the importance of preparing a first aid kit for outdoor adventures and emergencies. While best for ages 5 - 11, family and friends are welcome to come explore and learn. 

Little Medical School is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals. Through interactive role-play and hands-on learning experiences, children ages 4 to 14 can explore the fascinating world of health and careers in medicine. Join us as we empower young minds to discover the excitement and rewards of the medical field, one wilderness adventure at a time!
