The CCC Boys of Tennessee In-Person

Michigan based author/songwriter Bill Jamerson will present a nostalgic music and storytelling program for all ages about the CCC at the Collierville Burch Library, followed by a Q&A period and book signing. Dressed in uniform, Jamerson will share stories about the CCC, read excerpts from his book, show a short video from his PBS film, and sing original songs with his guitar!
Please bring your CCC photos and memorabilia to share!

The CCC was a federal works program created by President Franklin D. Roosevelt during The Great Depression. During its nine-year run, over 76,000 men served in Tennessee. These men worked on soil erosion control, built check dams, fought forest fires, and built a dozen state parks including Great Smokies, Cumberland Mountain, Norris Dam, Pickett, Pickwick Landing, and Reelfoot Lake. There was a CCC camp located in Collierville, TN from 1935-1940.
