Here are some ways you can get involved in celebrating Random Acts of Kindness Day:

Atom with solid fillAdopt a rescue animal.

Donate or have a “FUN” fundraiser, such as a neighborhood car wash or lemonade stand.

Foster an animal in need. If adopting a rescue animal isn't an option right now or not something that you can commit to, have you considered fostering an animal in our care? During the spring and summer months there are lots of orphaned kittens who need to be bottle fed and require around-the-clock care before they can be officially rehomed. Do you think you could foster an animal in need?

Volunteer to help a senior citizen neighbor with their pet offer to walk their dog or groom their cat.

Don’t forget the wildlife in your own backyard! Make your garden wildlife-friendly in time for spring. There are lots of ways in which you can make your garden more wildlife-friendly: put out bird feeders and feeding stations for squirrels.

Pick up trash around your neighborhood that an animal could get tangled or trapped in. Animals’ heads can get stuck in empty cans or containers. Think about your inside pets as well. Fabric netting and decorations can be very enticing to pets but dangerous if they get tangled.

Be an advocate for animals. Help spread the word of animal welfare online. Spreading kindness can be as easy as a click!
